About CompactGymGuide
CompactGymGuide reviews and compares home gym equipment built for small spaces: folding treadmills, walking pads, adjustable dumbbells, wall-mounted racks, and the accessories that turn a spare room, an apartment corner, or one side of a garage into a place to train.
Why we focus on compact equipment
Most fitness gear is reviewed as if every buyer had a dedicated basement. Many people do not. In a small home, the folded size of a machine, the noise it sends through the floor, the ceiling height it needs, and how quickly it can be put away matter as much as its features.
We put those practical limits at the center of every guide, so you can see whether a product fits your space before you decide whether it fits your workouts.
What we publish
- Roundups that compare a set of products for one need, such as walking pads or adjustable dumbbells, against the same criteria.
- Buying guides and how-tos in our Blog, covering planning, measuring, and setting up a home gym.
- Category pages that group our coverage by equipment type, from cardio machines to flooring and storage.
How we choose products
We review by research: published specifications, manufacturer documentation, and patterns in verified owner feedback. We do not conduct our own product trials. Every product is rated with the CGG Score, a 0 to 10 rating calculated from its average Amazon customer rating using a published formula.
Our full process, the score formula, and how we assign Top, Budget, and Upgrade picks are explained on our How We Review page.
Who is behind CompactGymGuide
Our guides are researched and edited by Jordan Hayes, who covers home gym equipment for small spaces. The standards every article follows are set out in our Editorial Policy.
How we make money
CompactGymGuide is reader-supported. When you buy through links on our site, we may earn an affiliate commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never decide which products we recommend or how they are scored. Details are in our Affiliate Disclosure.
