Editorial Policy

Last updated: November 3, 2026

These are the standards every article on CompactGymGuide follows. They apply to roundups, buying guides, how-tos, and category pages.

Independence

Our recommendations are our own. We do not accept payment for placement, brands cannot review or approve articles before publication, and affiliate commissions never decide which products we include, how they are ranked, or how they are scored. How we earn money is explained in our Affiliate Disclosure.

Accuracy and sourcing

  • Specifications, dimensions, and weight capacities are checked against manufacturer documentation or the product listing before publication.
  • We describe products in words rather than inventing numbers. If a figure cannot be traced to a source, we leave it out.
  • Every guide states its criteria first, gives balanced pros and cons, and says who should not buy a product.
  • We do not claim to have physically trialed products. Our methods are described on our How We Review page.

Use of AI tools

We use AI tools to help organize research and draft parts of some articles. Every article is reviewed by an editor before it is published. The editor checks specifications, model names, and claims against sources and is responsible for the final text. We do not present AI-generated text as personal experience with a product.

Corrections

If you find an error, please email [email protected] with the article and the issue. We review every report and fix confirmed errors promptly. When a correction changes a recommendation or a key fact, we note it in the article.

Updates

Product data is refreshed regularly, and each article shows its publication and update dates. We revise guides when products change, are discontinued, or better options become available.

Health and safety

Our content is for general information only. It is not medical advice, and it is not a personalized training program.

  • Talk with a doctor or qualified professional before starting a new exercise program, especially if you have a medical condition, an injury, or are pregnant.
  • Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for assembly, use, weight limits, and anchoring or wall mounting.
  • Stop exercising and seek medical help if you feel pain, dizziness, or shortness of breath.
  • Keep equipment away from children and pets when it is not in use.

We do not make claims about weight loss, treatment of any condition, or health outcomes from using a product.
